WASHINGTON, DC – In recognition of Women’s Health Month, Congresswoman Hillary Scholten (D-MI-03), Vice Chair of the Democratic Women’s Caucus, introduced the Hormone Health Data and Research Act. The bill would direct the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) to conduct research and testing into the utility of routine baseline hormonal testing of premenopausal women.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Today, Congresswoman Hillary Scholten (D-MI-03), member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, announced the Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) in Grand Rapids will receive $6,000,000 in federal funding through the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). The funding will support upgrades to the Concourse B terminal building, which will include family-centric security rooms and restrooms, as well as energy efficiency improvements.

WASHINGTON, DC – The Investing in All of America Act, bipartisan legislation led by U.S. Representatives Hillary Scholten (D-MI-03) and Dan Meuser (R-PA-09), was signed into law on May 19 as Public Law 119-92. Congresswoman Scholten’s new law expands access to capital for small businesses, particularly those in rural and low-income communities and those supporting America’s national security sector.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Hillary Scholten (D-MI-03) secured several of her key legislative priorities and major wins for West Michigan in the BUILD America 250 Act, which advanced through the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on May 22. WASHINGTON, DC – In honor of Memorial Day, Congresswoman Hillary Scholten (D-MI-03) announced introduction of a bipartisan bill with all twelve members of the Michigan House delegation to rename the Grand Haven U.S. Postal Service (USPS) facility as the Ell Thomas Simantz Post Office Building. The designation would honor a Grand Haven native and war hero who lost his life in service to his country as a U.S. Army Technician Fifth Grade during World War II.

WASHINGTON, DC – This month, U.S. Representative Hillary Scholten (D-MI-03) introduced the Small Business Administration Artificial Intelligence Adoption Reporting Act (SBA AI Adoption Reporting Act). The legislation would direct the SBA to implement its recent findings on how to best improve its AI uses for contracting and research programs. Rep. Scholten requested the study that produced these findings last Congress.
