WASHINGTON, DC—After Congresswoman Scholten’s weekend of advocacy on behalf of migrant children, the Biden Administration announced the implementation of her plan for an inter-agency task force, bringing together the Department of Labor and Department of Health and Human Services to address the exploitation of migrant children in the United States workforce.

Today, I voted no for H. J. Res. 24 and H. J. Res. 26. Both of these bills override legislation passed by the duly elected government of Washington, DC. When the Republicans took the majority in the House, they promised to lower prices for everyday Americans. But instead–they’re using valuable taxpayer dollars and Representative’s time to try and meddle in local governments.
