FY 2026 Appropriations and Community Project Funding Guide
FY 2026 Appropriations and Community Project Funding Guide
Thank you for your interest in Congresswoman Hillary Scholten’s Fiscal Year 2026 appropriations forms. As the House Appropriations Committee has yet to release final guidance, our deadlines and all information is subject to change.
Please Note: The Appropriations Committee still needs to release guidance for Fiscal Year 2026. However, to provide applicants with an opportunity to prepare, we are recirculating last year's guidance. It is important to acknowledge that House Republicans could change or cancel the Community Project Funding (CPF) process at any time. We will keep you updated on any developments. Please feel free to contact our Outreach and Grants Coordinator Kathryn Piña and our Legislative Director Rachel Kline with any questions.

Additional details below:
Rep. Scholten will diligently review each request she receives and, as appropriate, may submit that request to the relevant subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee. The Committee, recognizing the potential impact of these projects on our community, will assess the request and may (or may not) include funding for the request in the relevant FY 2026 appropriations bill. The decision lies entirely within the Committee’s discretion, underscoring the importance of well-justified and community-supported projects.
Please note that this process is very limited. Last year, each Member of Congress was permitted to make a maximum of 15 requests, so we are limited in the projects that we will be able to submit in this very competitive process. However, our office’s goal is to assist you with your organization’s objectives, so please let us know how we can support your projects within the CPF process and other funding mechanisms.
Please carefully read and complete the submission form to make a funding request. If you have multiple requests, you must fill out multiple forms, but please only submit up to two requests. Funding requests should only be for well-justified projects that have community support, and can be swiftly and effectively implemented if funded.
You can only make requests for certain appropriations accounts. Please find guidance for FY25’s eligible accounts here.
DEADLINE: Please submit any requests for Community Project Funding to our office by COB April 18th. This deadline may change depending on guidance we receive from the House Appropriations Committee. Although we are happy to work with you before and after this deadline on your request, your request must be as detailed and specific as possible. Please feel free to contact Kathryn.Pina@mail.house.gov or Rachel.Kline@mail.house.gov with any questions.
