Today, Congresswoman Hillary Scholten (MI-03) released the following statement after voting no on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). This bill has historically brought Democrats and Republicans together to craft a comprehensive package to support our nation’s servicemembers, their families, and American military readiness.
“Our immigration system is deeply broken. As an attorney who has worked on immigration issues for 20 years, including enforcing our nation’s immigration laws at the U.S. Department of Justice, I recognize how dire and urgent the need is to fix this system.
Today, Rep. Hillary Scholten (MI-03) announced that she submitted 15 community projects from across Michigan’s Third District for the chance to receive federal funding through the Fiscal Year 2025 (FY2025) appropriations process.
