WASHINGTON, DC – This week, U.S. Representative Hillary Scholten (D-MI-03) introduced the Postal Alert and Weather Preparedness Act. The legislation would direct the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) to conduct a study on providing electronic notifications to Postal Service customers regarding weather events and their effects on timely mail delivery.

The award is through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Healthy Start Initiative, which helps improve health outcomes for pregnant women, their partners, and babies up to 18 months old.

The legislation would establish an interagency working group to study and improve nationwide best practices for roadway management in inclement weather.

“The sexual assault allegations against Congressman Eric Swalwell are grave. Multiple women have come forward with corroborated, detailed accounts. A Member of Congress who abuses the authority of this office has no place in Congress. Congressman Swalwell should do the right thing and resign.

WASHINGTON, DC – This week, the U.S. House of Representatives passed Congresswoman Hillary Scholten’s (D-MI-03) bipartisan Aviation Supply Chain Safety and Security Digitization Act of 2025. The legislation will advance research into accelerating digital supply chain documentation at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to improve safety standards and combat forgery. Representative Brad Knott (R-NC) is the Republican lead of the legislation.
