Rep. Scholten Returns Nearly $230 Million to West Michigan in Freshman Term
The full end-of-term report is available here.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Hillary Scholten (MI-03) celebrated the end of her first term in Congress by releasing a report highlighting her wins for West Michigan in the 118th Congress. She returned nearly $230M to West Michigan through federal grant dollars and successful casework. The report also details Scholten's commitment to bipartisanship and illustrates her approach to compromising without compromising West Michigan values.
“I came to Congress to get stuff done for West Michigan, and this report is a testament to my dedication to our community,” said Scholten. “I am so proud to have returned hundreds of millions to the district, maintained a bipartisan legislative record, and cultivated a responsive operation in DC and West Michigan to ensure West Michiganders’ voices are always heard. This term was not without difficulty as chaos on the other side of the aisle delayed much of the work we wanted to accomplish for the American people, but make no mistake, I worked to find common ground in common sense to deliver for MI-03, and I look forward to building upon this success in my next term.”
