WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last night, Rep. Hillary Scholten (MI-03) hosted her inaugural telephone town hall from her Washington, D.C. office. Roughly 4,000 West Michiganders joined the call for updates on the Speaker of the House race, the Israel-Hamas war, the appropriations process, and other issues facing the country.
“There’s nothing more important to me in this work than being accessible and responsive to West Michiganders. As we face unprecedented challenges both at home and abroad, it was an honor to speak with people directly to answer their questions and hear their concerns,” said Rep. Scholten. “I look forward to hosting more town halls – both in person and over the phone – in the future and will continue working to make sure West Michiganders’ voices are heard in Washington.”
In addition to her first telephone town hall, Rep. Scholten has hosted three in-person town halls – one in each county in Michigan’s Third District.
