Rep. Scholten Statement on Vote to Send Critical Aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Hillary Scholten (MI-03) released the below statement after voting to pass a legislative package that will deliver critical assistance to Ukraine, Taiwan, and Israel, and provide humanitarian aid to innocent civilians in Gaza:

“This is a pivotal moment in our nation’s history. For months, our democratic allies have pleaded for assistance from the United States to shore up democracy globally, and for months, House Republicans have turned their backs and refused to act. 

Today, I’m happy that the House finally came together to deliver much-needed aid to our allies while strengthening our national security. This package sends a strong, clear message that the United States will always support and stand with its allies during times of crisis.”
