Rep. Scholten Cosponsors Bipartisan Bill to Replenish Israel’s “Iron Dome” Missile Defense System

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Hillary Scholten (MI-03) cosponsored the bipartisan “Operation Swords of Iron” Iron Dome Supplemental Appropriations Act, which will provide $2 billion to replenish Israel’s “Iron Dome” missile defense system.

“In the face of horrific and barbaric terrorist attacks at the hands of Hamas and Hezbollah, the United States must do everything it can to help Israel defend itself,” said Rep. Scholten. “This emergency funding will be critical to our democratic ally’s effort to ward off incoming attacks and save innocent lives across the region.”

The legislation has received support from several stakeholder groups, including FDD Action and the Jewish Institute for National Security of America.
