The $200,000 in grant funding will catalyze research and development efforts to produce a new innovative rubber windowpane.
WASHINGTON – The Department of Energy announced that Mackinac Technology Company received nearly $200,000 in grant funding through the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.
“This investment in a West Michigan-based small business is proof of West Michigan’s technological prowess and will only incentivize the further pursuit of energy-saving solutions right here in MI-03,” said Congresswoman Hillary Scholten. “These funds will catalyze research and development efforts to produce a new rubber windowpane. When deployed, this development will lower costs and save energy for West Michiganders across residences, businesses, schools, and community spaces. As a member of the Small Business Committee, I am proud of Mackinac Technology Company’s efforts to secure this funding to invigorate our economy and empower our small businesses.”
