Congresswoman Hillary Scholten Applauds the Biden Administration Announcement Implementing Her Inter-Agency Task Force

WASHINGTON, DC—After Congresswoman Scholten’s weekend of advocacy on behalf of migrant children, the Biden Administration announced the implementation of her plan for an inter-agency task force, bringing together the Department of Labor and Department of Health and Human Services to address the exploitation of migrant children in the United States workforce. 

“In light of this weekend’s news about the exploitation of migrant children right here in Michigan’s Third Congressional District, I’ve been in constant communication with the Biden Administration about their efforts to address these horrific, exploitative practices,” said Congresswoman Hillary Scholten. “I immediately pushed for the creation of an inter-agency task force between the Department of Labor and the Department of Health and Human Services to address child labor practices, and I’m glad to see that the Administration listened to my recommendation.”
